How It All Began: The Story of B’ALAM

Hello and welcome! My name is Cristina, and I’m originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico. Now, I live in Minnesota with my husband and our two dogs, Nala and Maya, who keep us on our toes and bring so much joy into our lives.

This journey with B’ALAM started in a way I never expected. During a challenging time, I found myself searching for an outlet, something to bring me joy and keep my mind active. What began as a simple hobby soon turned into something so much more meaningful. My husband, who is not only my partner in life but also my greatest supporter and motivator, encouraged me to follow this passion. His belief in me is a big part of why B’ALAM exists today.

Starting this business allowed me to connect with my culture in a special way. Each piece I create reflects a bit of my heritage and a love for handmade art.
